7th Generation

Today's Excellence

Modern equipment featuring advanced hydraulic systems, intelligent controls, and superior reliability. Now available in 14+ models from 4kJ to 300kJ, serving projects worldwide.

The Innovation Journey

How one engineer's determination created an entire industry

2001

The Challenge

China relied entirely on imported equipment, priced at 2.3 million RMB per unit. When Chinese researchers requested technical documentation, they were refused. Professor He Jie from Hebei University of Technology approached Cao Bin to develop domestic technology.

"We need someone who can not only make the product, but make it better than foreign competitors."

— Professor He Jie
2002

The Breakthrough

On October 23, 2002, Cao Bin filed the founding patent for the "Impact Hammer." This marked the birth of China's first domestically-developed hydraulic rapid impact compaction technology.

Patent No. - The founding patent that established China's technological independence in ground improvement equipment.

Technical Specifications

  • Hammer Weight: 2.5 tons
  • Impact Energy: 30 kJ
  • Carrier: 5-ton wheel loader
  • Testing: Xi'an Highway Machinery Testing Center
  • Trial Sites: Gansu, Anhui, Guangdong provinces

In March 2003, the first prototype was completed in Taian, Shandong Province. Cao Bin named it "Rapid Hydraulic Compactor (R.H.C.)" .

2004

Market Validation

In January 2004, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission evaluated the technology with the conclusion: "Domestically pioneering, reaching international advanced level."

The same year, Guangdong Province purchased multiple units for the Meihe Expressway (150+ km). After completion, the rainy season arrived with zero settlement issues.

2008

Company Establishment

Taian Hengda Machinery Co., Ltd. was officially registered, though the technology had already proven itself on major highways across China for 5 years.

2017

National Recognition

Cao Bin was awarded "Touching Transportation Person of the Year" by China's Ministry of Transport for outstanding contributions to transportation infrastructure technology.

2020

Industry Leadership

Today, Taian Hengda holds over 70% of China's domestic market share. The technology has evolved to the 7th generation with 14+ models ranging from 4kJ to 300kJ.

The Man Behind the Innovation

Dedication, precision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence

Precision Engineering

Known for drawings that "never have errors". Once spent half an hour teaching his son the difference between commas and semicolons in programming - a testament to his attention to detail.

Self-Taught Technology Pioneer

In the early 1980s, self-taught computer programming and mechanical CAD. Proficient in Photoshop, video editing software - skills that "make young engineers envious." In 1988, developed a children's IQ testing system that won Shandong Province Science and Technology Award.

Tireless Work Ethic

At 68 years old, still comes to the office every day. Often calls team members late at night when a technical breakthrough occurs, or gets up to work on solutions. His motto: "Preparation leads to success; lack of preparation leads to failure."

Customer-Centric Approach

For every customer inquiry, prepares 3 alternative solutions in advance. Believes that "most customers are not equipment buyers, but partners in exploring construction methods and solving construction challenges."

Rapid Problem Solving

In 2014, when the Beijing Military Region needed ice-breaking equipment urgently in Inner Mongolia, Cao Bin worked overnight and completed in 1 day what normally takes 3 days - delivering the technical drawings on time.

Dedication to Craft

Married for 40 years, went to work the day after his wedding. Rarely took weekends off or watched movies. His philosophy: "Treat quality as life itself."

Building a Legacy Team

Cao Bin's influence extends beyond technology - he's cultivating the next generation of engineers

Liu Tao

General Manager, Taian Hengda

Studied under Cao Bin 20 years ago. "Cao Bin has integrated the craftsman spirit into his bones."

Wang Xingru

Product Manager

Former technical staff at a Shanghai foreign enterprise. Resigned and moved to Taian because of admiration for Cao Bin. Has been with the company for 10 years.

Liu Yan

Engineer

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Donghua University, Shanghai. In 2016, gave up pursuing a PhD and teaching position to join Cao Bin's team.

"We hope that people like Cao Bin, who are dedicated to 'doing their work well and building China's highways,' can be passed down from generation to generation."

— Professor He Jie, Hebei University of Technology

Impact & Recognition

Industry Transformation
